Our Live Acoustic Showcase Final was held at the Gypsy Den in Santa Ana last night. Such a great space to enjoy some coffee and listen to some acoustic music! Performing bands included Melanoid, Yellow Red Sparks, AJ DeGrasse, Cory Case, and Hong Kong Six. All bands had strong performances and made it very difficult to pick just one winner. Melanoid sounded great as always and Yellow Red Sparks had the crowd clapping and singing along. AJ DeGrasse set the mood and had the entire cafe silent and focused. Cory Case kept the energy up during his performance and had everyone cheering. Hong Kong Six closed the show with a great set, definitely a great night for OC music!
Cory Case ended up receiving top honors and was announced as the Best Live Acoustic Finals Winner at the end of the night and was much deserved. He had so much support from his family and friends at the show and everyone was excited to share the moment with him! Congrats, and a BIG thank you to all of the bands who participated this year and support music in orange county.
I attended the OCMA and was terribly disappointed that the live acoustic nominees were not announced. Also, during the video of the finals, only the music of Cory Case was heard. It seems that the video should’ve shown each nominee, playing their own music. Cory was good, but so were the other nominees!
